                           Bullying Training (Students)

What is Bullying?

  • Hitting, kicking, pushing, choking, punching
  • Threatening, teasing, starting rumors, hate speech in person or by texting, e-mails, Facebook, My Space etc..
  • Exclusion from activities

What should I do if I’m being Bullied:

     Tell them to stop

     Get away from the bullying

     Get help by telling adults.

What not to do:

     Don’t think it’s your fault

Don’t keep it to yourself and hope the bullying will go away

Don’t skip school or go home saying your sick

Don’t think you are a tattle tale. Telling is the right thing to do!

     Don’t hurt yourself

Empowering bystanders:

  • Silence makes bullies more powerful
  • Model positive behavior through our own actions
  • Tell adults about the bullying you see
  • Reach out in friendship to victims of bullying and students left alone.
  • Refuse to go along with rumors
